Lounge 71

We recently visited Lounge 71 in South Woodford, which has only been open for about eight weeks, and were really impressed with what they’re offering. Their specialty is steak, but the menu is wonderfully diverse, with Pan-Asian dishes and burgers, plus all the sides you could think of. We decided to try a bit of everything and were not disappointed. To start, we had the Korean wings, chimichurri grilled chicken, duck bao buns, and dynamite prawns – all of which were packed with flavour. The dynamite prawns in particular had a real kick to them, but it worked beautifully. For mains, we went for the lamb shank and the T-bone steak, both of which were cooked to perfection. The steak was medium rare, just as requested, incredibly tender, and paired so well with the peppercorn sauce. On the side, we ordered the mac and cheese and dragon fries – both were absolutely delicious and full of flavour. They don’t serve alcohol, which as a Muslim is a plus for me. I had a passionfruit mocktail with a spicy kick, which was a refreshing change from the usual syrup-heavy options you often get elsewhere. You can tell a lot of thought and creativity has gone into their drinks. Service was fantastic throughout. The staff were attentive, and there were some fun theatrics with the food, making it feel like more of a special occasion spot. That said, the food genuinely holds its own – it’s not just for show. A couple of minor downsides: the dessert menu was a bit limited and unfortunately the kitchen had closed by the time we tried to order, so we didn’t get to try any. I also had the karak chai which had quite a heavy cardamom flavour – not for me, but might suit others. They also have a separate shisha lounge if that’s your vibe, which adds to the overall experience. All in all, Lounge 71 is definitely worth a visit – especially for the food. It’s a great new addition to the area and I’m looking forward to seeing how they evolve over time.

We had a fantastic meal here with the family and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious – especially the Mexican burger, dum biryani, chicken cutlet, and sea bass. Each dish was well-prepared and full of flavour. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a family outing. Service was also impressive – the waiters were attentive and friendly throughout. A great spot for anyone looking for tasty food and a relaxed dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We started with flavour-packed prawns and perfectly crispy calamari, followed by a juicy steak and a beautifully cooked sea bass on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. Every bite was unforgettable – the infusion of flavours was just incredible. Sipped on the smoothest Pina Coladas and soaked in the chilled, luxurious vibe. The atmosphere was unmatched – and yes, they also have a stylish shisha lounge to wind down in. From food to cocktails to ambiance, Lounge71 really delivers on all fronts. It’s rare to find a spot that does everything this well. Highly recommend you check it out!

Lovely food. Steak was so tender and quality of meat is excellent. Starters were great too and the sea bass was very nice. Friendly staff who took good care of us. Will visit again.

The atmosphere was modern and stylish, making it the perfect spot for a night out. The service was excellent, and the manager Melad was very attentive and professional.
